Electrical equipment covered by the code of practice for the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment aka PAT tests include Class 1 Class 2 and Class 3 and are divided into Stationary Equipment, IT Equipment, Movable Equipment, Portable Equipment, Hand Held Equipment, Equipment connected by a flexible cable, All Extension Leads and Multi way Adaptors.

Management of health and safety at work regulations 1999
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
Electricity at work regulations 1989
Workplace(health, safety and welfare) regulations 1992
